This is our second video in a series of us cycling about the world. Azerbaijan was an incredible country to travel by bicycle – we hope you enjoy this video!

The girls got a bit excited after going through JJ's wardrobe today… this was the result!

Baku, Azerbaijan is not a place Alex expected to find a bunch of passionate mountain bikers! Jumping off the walls, his MTB drought was broken when he got to borrow a Trek 29er and ride the oil-rich ridges, grassy meadows, volcanic holes and goat tracks of Baku. Afterwards Alleykat pulled out the tandem and did some fun time city riding in Baku city with Mark and Jess! π

Alleykat decided to make a little video of our experience crossing Georgia, taking in lots of moments from the road and off the road too. A little longer and less scripted than normal – we would appreciate feedback for if we should continue making videos country by country (like this) or whether our short films on our experiences, cities and sights engages you better.

Alleykat made a dash to Munich, Germany to sort out some things for our new tandem bike and video camera. Kat found the time to get a tatt! Thanks Miriam Frank @ Farbenpracht for squeezing Kat in and of course for the magical artwork!

Alleykat swapped over two weeks worth of budget for 80 minutes flying in a hot air balloon around GΓΆreme, Turkey. Was it worth it? Of course – it was incredible, but we’ll let the video do the talking!

Today was the last day Alee will ride a ‘standard’ bike for the next two years – Alleykat is going tandem! Despite the last sentiment, Alee’s ride was made amazing by the incredible city that is Istanbul.

Our first time volunteering at a farm stay was a very rewarding experience. We stayed at the Dikencik farm in southern Turkey through the Helpx program. In this documentary, we discuss volunteer farm stays, talk about our experience, interview our hosts and get the low down from the other colourful volunteers! If you’ve never farm-stayed before, sign yourself up and give it a go.
Music on guitar by the talented volunteers at Dikencik, Mahna and Ansel. Edited on iPad with Pinnacle Studio and shot on a Panasonic LX5 compact camera.

Pamukkale's unique landscape is a must see for those travelling Turkey. If you hear that it is not worth going to, IGNORE THIS ADVICE and spend at least one day exploring.
It was -1 degrees celsius with strong winds when we were filming unfortunately, so apologies on the sound. We will have new camera equipment next month which will be awesome.
